Phonetics? Is it related to phone?
So, what is phonetics?
So phonetics is essentially the study and classification of speech sounds. We have something call the international phonetic alphabet chart, which is an internationally recognized set of phonetic symbols, that was developed in the late 19th Century.
They are used to be very specific about the pronunciation of a word in which ever language we’re working on.

You can check pronunciation in a dictionary
Some people find them to be the most accurate and the most reliable way to work on their pronunciation because you can go to a good dictionary like the Oxford dictionary or the Cambridge dictionary  and you can see the phonetic symbols and it’ll tell you how to pronounce that part of that word. So they’re a really great resource.

All the English Phonetics in one place

Now, what I thought might be useful, in addition to answering this question about 'what is phonetics?', even though the internet is filled with videos about this sort of stuff, is just to sort of contain it all in one video.
So, here are the phonetic symbols. Listen and practice with it and get more confident with them. Then you can go to a dictionary and if you see that symbol you know which sound to use.

  5. i think your blog has some drawbacks like example and some about other phonetics. Next time if you want to copas, please look for a blog that explains a lot about the phonetic and you also have to understand your topic too, don't just copy and paste.
